Stephanie Holtzlander represents a variety of health care clients, including hospitals, physicians, long term care facilities and other health care professionals, in disputes relating to medical malpractice and other negligence–based litigation, hospital credentialing, state Medical Licensing Board proceedings and other peer review proceedings. She works closely with health care management to assess and mitigate risk of litigation both at an institutional level and within individual practice groups.
Stephanie's significant experience with medical issues in her legal practice have lead to her ability to perform effectively in product liability litigation involving asbestos, silica and welder's siderosis claims. She has more than fourteen years of experience in toxic tort litigation and appellate matters representing miners, manufacturers, contractors and premises owners in multiple types of cases, including mesothelioma, lung cancer and other occupational disease cases. She has also coordinated international and national discovery projects for major multi–national companies involved in the Indiana asbestos cases.
Stephanie lives in Carmel, Indiana with her husband Mark. They have three children, Adam, Benjamin and Marya. Stephanie enjoys gourmet cooking, entertaining, shopping and spending time with her family and friends.

Mayhue v. Sparkman, 653 N.E.2d 1384 (Ind. 1995) (argument before Supreme Court of Indiana on behalf of amicus curiae wherein Court held that proper analysis in Indiana medical negligence case was to adopt Restatement (Second) of Torts Sec. 323, increased risk of harm standard.)
Martin v. Richey, 711 N.E.2d 1273 (Ind. 1999) (patient brought medical negligence action against physician for failure to timely diagnose cancer and Court held statute of limitations was unconstitutional as applied under the State Constitution's Privileges and Immunities Clause and Open Courts Clause.)
Cundiff by Cundiff v. Daviess County Hospital, 656 N.E.2d 298 (Ind.Ct.App. 1995) (Indiana Court of Appeals upheld constitutionality of the Indiana Medical Malpractice Act's statute of limitations pertaining to minors)
State of Indiana v. Robert J. Morgan, M.D. (2001) (representation of physician before The Medical Licensing Board of Indiana, including judicial appellate process.)
Owens Corning Fiberglass Corp. v. Cobb, 754 N.E.2d 905 (Ind. 2001) (Plaintiff sued multiple manufacturers for injuries allegedly relating to asbestos exposure. Supreme Court of Indiana clarified Indiana law relating to non–party defenses.)
AlliedSignal v. Ott, 785 N.E.2d 1068 (Ind. 2003) (Wife sued manufacturers of asbestos alleging wrongful death. Supreme Court of Indiana held product liability statute of repose constitutional pursuant to Right to Remedy Clause and prohibition against unequal treatment.)
Black v. AC and S, Inc., 785 N.E.2d 1084 (Ind. 2003) (Estate and widow brought suit against manufacturers of asbestos–containing products. Supreme Court of Indiana upheld constitutionality of ten–year statute of repose applied and remanded to trial court for further proceedings consistent with AlliedSignal v. Ott.)
